Cookie Policy
This Policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used on the pre-hire.com website and on the PreHire platform. It complements the Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit a website. It allows your browser to be recognized between visits and stores certain information.
For the purposes of this policy, cookies include HTTP cookies, browser local storage, session storage, pixel tags and any similar technology whose effect is to store or access information on your device.
2. Legal framework
The use of cookies is governed by:
- Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés);
- the European ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC, as amended;
- the recommendations and guidelines of the CNIL.
In accordance with these texts:
- cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the Site are placed without requesting your consent;
- other cookies (non-exempt analytics, marketing, social networks) are placed only after obtaining your explicit consent, and can be refused just as easily as accepted.
3. Categories of cookies used

These cookies are essential for the operation of the Site. They cannot be disabled without making the Site unusable.

Note: if the chosen tool (for example Plausible Analytics or self-hosted Matomo) is exempt from consent by the CNIL, it will be classified as a strictly necessary cookie.
3.3 Marketing and social network cookies
The Site does not use advertising profiling cookies or social network cookies for marketing purposes.
3.4 Third-party cookies
Third-party cookies are cookies placed by companies other than PreHire. The Site only integrates the third-party cookies that are strictly necessary for its operation (for example, Stripe for payment).

4. Managing your preferences
4.1 Consent banner
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept, refuse or customize cookies that are not strictly necessary.
You can change your choice at any time by clicking the « Manage my cookies » link in the footer of the Site.
4.2 Your browser settings
You can also configure your browser to refuse all cookies or to be informed before they are placed.
- Chrome: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Firefox: support.mozilla.org
- Safari: support.apple.com
- Edge: support.microsoft.com
Warning: disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent normal use of the Site (for example, authentication).
5. Consent retention periods
In accordance with the CNIL recommendations:
- your choice (acceptance or refusal) is stored for six (6) months;
- once this period expires, the banner is shown again in order to obtain a new choice.
6. Accept or refuse: equally easy
In accordance with Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés) and the CNIL guidelines, the consent banner allows you to accept and refuse with the same level of simplicity (a single click).
Refusal has no impact on your access to the Site or on the quality of the service provided.
7. Your rights
With respect to the data collected via cookies, you have the same rights as those described in the Privacy Policy: access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability.
To exercise your rights: privacy@pre-hire.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL: www.cnil.fr.
